The Dr. Who and the Daleks film uses very similar shots in very similar (Although condensed) scenes in which Ian gets into the Dalek and then later on is stuck when the others can’t open the lid.

In the film, The Doctor has to pretty much force inept Ian to get into the casing whereas TV Ian is the one to volunteer. The film never really focuses on the danger and urgency of the situation as the serial does.
