We only started watching this on youtube because of William Russell but we liked the programme a lot so we bought the DVD to watch the rest and we’re on episode two now and it’s so beautiful and we’re so glad that William Russell having small roles can lead us to some wonderful dramas we would never have known about.
The lead character Vera is fantastic and the true story about her going to Oxford just before the breakout of WWI is so wonderfully told with poetry references and such as she watches her love go off to fight.
